Hydrobolt Group continues to invest in plant and machinery with the addition of a Doosan Puma 480 CNC horizontal turning centre. With 2 meters between centres and a max turning diameter of 650mm, the new machine is a valuable addition to Hydrobolt’s already impressive manufacturing facility. Managing Director, Jamie Simpson explained that the ‘machine has been purchased primarily to serivice the power gen market and the large turbine OEM’s, as well as the offshore and subsea equipment manufacturers. We already have one large Doosan Puma and with the addition of the 480 we’ll be able to cope with pretty much any large fastener requirements our customers throw at us.’
